To evolve can be defined as to gradually change or improve over time, hence my artwork is evolving in imagery, texture and meaning. Natural materials entwine to create a collagraph plate and during the print process I experimented with Blind Embossing, Chine Cole and Carborundum. The final artwork exhibited is a delicate landscape image captured in time. Time is signified by the circular moon/sun shapes within the artwork. The signifier of the phases of the sun and moon connect each artwork across the mediums I have chosen. In clay the spherical shape of the vases connect the imagery in the collagraph prints and signify the sun ascending or descending. The phases of moon and the sun signify time, perspective, the transition of light and ‘luminous dimension’.
